Exclusively “slow-release” Nitrogen
During the periods immediately preceding the most critical climatic phases, characterized by high values in evapotranspiration and extreme temperature peaks (including the winter ones, which are close to zero degrees), the distribution of a “high in potassium value” fertilizer helps the plant to defend itself from the risk of wilting, thus keeping active all the metabolic processes fundamental for their survival.
By conditioning the water potential, the potassium ion is directly involved in the regulation of the stomatal opening rhyme and also guarantees the appropriate turgidity to vacuoles and therefore the plant cell. When dosed in a correct way, it is the best ally for obtaining a healthy plant ready to counter any adversity.
Another of the features that make THERMO the ideal fertilizer for the summer months, is represented by the limited contribution in nitrogen; this is present only in a “slow-release” N-Methylurea form, pandering the reduced requirements of our turf (slowed in its metabolism thanks to the temperatures), but certainly not the voracity of annual weeds typical of the period. A philosophy also extended to phosphorus, absent in our case: by excluding it totally, we avoid facilitating the rooting of possibly present weeds, which could have reached the ground in the seed form.
